In 1951, Robert L. Arnold and his father bought a business from George A. Thomas. In 1957, Malone Feed and Farm Supply Inc. changed direction from a feed and farm supplier to a building material supplier.
In the early 1980's, Robert's sons, Dan and Tom, became full-time employees. Bob envisioned the expansion of his business. It started to slowly happen when he bought a concrete plant to produce redi-mix concrete in 1986. In May of 1988, Robert passed away and left his sons to carry on his legacy. In July of 1990 the brothers renamed the business to Malone Lumber & Ready Mix Inc. The expansion of the business continued to grow when the brothers bought a local fuel company. They did a complete remodel in 2000. The remodel added on 8000 square feet of retail store. The pair saw another chance to grow in 2001 when they bought out Upstate Memorials and renamed it Arnold Monuments. In 2009 the brothers established Arnold Pre-Cast which allowed us to expand the lines of our building supply materials business.
In the new year of 2017, Dan retired and Tom bought Dan's part of the business. Tom's son, Luke, is part of the family business and wants to follow in his father's footsteps. Tom's other son, Joshua, is currently serving our country in the U.S. Army. Tom would like to see him eventually return home and join the family business as well. Tom's daughter, Hannah, is currently going to school and would like to further her education in the marketing and advertising field, which could be a great asset to the company.
We would like to thank all of our customers from the beginning in 1951 to now for all of your business!
